4. Gmail Data Usage
SayMail requests access to your Gmail account to create email drafts on your behalf. This section explains exactly how we use this access:
What We Do
- Use the Gmail API solely to create draft emails in your Gmail inbox
- Create drafts only when you explicitly click "Create Gmail Draft"
What We Do NOT Do
- We do NOT read your existing emails
- We do NOT store or analyze your email content
- We do NOT share your Gmail data with any third parties
- We do NOT use your Gmail data for advertising purposes
- We do NOT access your contacts, calendar, or other Google services
Revoking Access
You can revoke SayMail's access to your Gmail at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page and removing SayMail from your connected apps.
5. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.
We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service:
- Clerk: User authentication
- OpenAI: Voice transcription processing
- Anthropic: AI-powered content processing
- Supabase: Database hosting
- Vercel: Application hosting
These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your data. They do not use your data for their own purposes.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Voice recordings: Processed for transcription and not stored permanently
- Message drafts: Retained until you delete them or your account
- Contacts: Retained until you delete them or your account
- Usage data: Retained for up to 12 months for analytics
